About Tina Bunker

Education, Experience & Knowledge You Can Put to Work

Real estate has been both my education and my career. I earned a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison Wisconsin School of Business, double majoring in Real Estate and Marketing, and I have spent the past 27 years working full-time as an independent real estate agent.

That combination provides my clients with something I believe is particularly valuable: the formal education to understand real estate at a deeper level, decades of practical experience applying that knowledge, and the construction background to understand the properties themselves.

My real estate education included specialized coursework in appraisal, development, valuation, marketing and market research. Rather than entering real estate after pursuing an unrelated career, I chose real estate as my profession from the beginning and built my education specifically around it.

Since becoming licensed in 1999, I have spent 27 years personally representing buyers and sellers as a full-time independent agent. I am not part of a team, and my experience was not gained working as an assistant to another agent. My clients work directly with me, benefiting from the knowledge and judgment developed through nearly three decades of personally handling real estate transactions.

My experience also extends far beyond the transaction itself. I grew up in a family homebuilding business and have spent decades actively involved with Johnny B Home Construction. From an early age, I was exposed to how homes are actually built, and over the years my role has grown to include designing and modifying floor plans, estimating construction costs, assisting with specifications and selections, working with building sites, coordinating projects, and marketing and selling new construction homes.

That construction experience gives me a perspective that is invaluable in real estate. I understand homes from the foundation up—how they're designed, how they're built, what features cost, what buyers value, and how today's decisions can affect tomorrow's resale.

For sellers, that means I can help determine which improvements are likely to add value, how to prepare and stage a property, how to position it against competing homes, and how to communicate features buyers may otherwise overlook. My Marketing degree adds another layer to that process, helping me approach each listing not simply as a property to advertise, but as a product that needs to be properly positioned, presented and marketed to the right audience.

For buyers and new-construction clients, my background allows me to evaluate much more than location and finishes. I can help clients think through floor plans, building sites, construction quality, functionality, costs, future needs and resale considerations.

Over 27 years, my work has expanded to include existing homes, new construction, vacant land, land development, investment properties and commercial real estate. That breadth of experience allows me to look at real estate from multiple perspectives and recognize issues and opportunities that may not be obvious at first glance.

I believe exceptional real estate representation comes from more than sales experience alone. It requires an understanding of value, construction, marketing, negotiation and the real estate market itself—and the experience to know how those pieces work together.

My education gave me the foundation. Twenty-seven years of full-time real estate have given me the experience. A lifetime in home construction has given me an understanding of the product itself.

I bring all three to every client and every transaction.

My goal is not simply to help you buy or sell a property. It is to be a knowledgeable resource you can rely on before, during and long after the sale—and your real estate advisor for life.
